We’re thrilled to announce that Ilona’s Room, a project generously funded by the Ilona Memory Fund, is back. This is a phenomenal project that is many years running where girls aged 9 – 14 participate in empowering and meaningful activities intended to build self-confidence, strengthen friendships and create space for discussing hard topics and feelings.
We focus on themes of self-love, healthy body image, safe use of social media, friendships and other issues tweens and teens face! We do this by specially programmed activities that take place every other week. Our activities are led by specialists in the areas of self-defense, healthy cooking, social media, movement, well-being, art and more. We spend time ensuring that the girls have access to a mental wellness facilitator at all times and we check in with them as a group and individually both on a levels of enjoyment and wellness.
If you know a girl within the age bracket of 9 – 14 and would like to find out more, we’d love to hear from you. Please email [email protected] or fill out this info brief form.
