Since the start of the war, the Marks JCH has helped resettle and serve more than 20,000 Ukrainian refugees. While many families have successfully secured housing, employment, schools, and healthcare, the emotional and psychological impacts of war, displacement, and uncertainty can emerge long after the initial resettlement period.
The Ukraine Refugee Health Program is designed as a prevention-focused, community-based model that promotes resilience while reducing barriers to care. Participants will receive culturally informed support, access to wellness activities, mental health education, and referrals to specialized providers when needed.
Working alongside valued partners including Shorefront YM-YWHA and Kings Bay YM-YWHA, the Marks JCH is building a stronger network of care that helps Ukrainian families heal, adjust, and thrive as they establish new lives in New York.
