Today’s young adults need more than a summer paycheck to succeed. Through workforce readiness workshops, career coaching, internships, occupational skills training, and direct job placement services, the Cammarata American Dream Center at the Marks JCH reaches more than 1,000 young adults annually, many of whom face significant economic and educational barriers.

This summer, SYEP participants will be placed with more than 200 employer partners across New York City. In addition to opportunities at camps and childcare programs, youth will also gain exposure to industries like healthcare, finance, technology, legal services, nonprofit management, and business operations.

Beyond employment, these experiences help participants develop confidence, communication skills, workplace professionalism, and a stronger sense of self-agency. Summer employment also provides financial relief for families and creates opportunities for young adults to pave pathways towards their future goals. At the Marks JCH, a summer job is never just a summer job. It is an investment in the next generation of leaders.
