The Mriya Program was launched in early 2023 by the Marks JCH as an expansion of the Ukrainian Crisis Relief Center.
Mriya is dedicated to supporting young Ukrainians ages 18–30 who fled the war, providing essential resettlement services such as comprehensive case management, job placement assistance, ESOL classes, vocational training, and guidance with college applications.
Over the past several years, hundreds of Ukrainians have been supported by the Mirya program through job fairs, workshops, coaching sessions, and community events organized by the Marks JCH.
New Initiative by Mriya project – Free Paralegal and Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Trainings and Certification for Ukrainian Newcomers in ages 18-30:
- Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) play a critical role in today’s healthcare system by providing immediate medical care during emergencies and transporting patients safely to healthcare facilities. With specialized training in emergency response, patient assessment, first aid, and life-saving techniques, EMTs serve as the vital link between emergency situations and hospital care. As the demand for skilled emergency healthcare professionals continues to grow, EMT is a highly respected and in-demand career in the U.S. healthcare labor market.
- Paralegals play an essential role in today’s legal system by supporting attorneys, law firms, and organizations in providing efficient and effective legal services. With training in legal research, document preparation, case management, and administrative skills, paralegals help bridge the gap between attorneys and clients while ensuring legal processes run smoothly. As the demand for affordable and accessible legal services continues to grow, paralegal is a highly valued and in-demand profession in the U.S. labor market.
🕊️ “”MRIYA”” is our response to the challenge faced by millions of Ukrainians forced to leave their homes due to the war. Our goal is to provide aid, community, and professional growth to young refugees resettled in New York. “MRIYA” has been actively working with young Ukrainians, leveraging Marks JCH’s extensive experience in serving immigrants and displaced individuals as well as working with teens and young adults. This project is founded by the Marks JCH with the support of Robin Hood and aims to offer holistic services and support to young Ukrainians and their families.
