We offer six programs to meet our community’s diverse needs and ages:


For children 2-5: Yeladim

Yeladim campers thrive in our nurturing environment. We focus on the social, emotional and physical growth of each camper. We offer daily swimming lessons and activities range from dramatic play to sports to an introduction to Israeli culture. At least one teacher and three counselors supervise each group of 20.

  • Ages: 2-5. We divide campers by age into coed groups. Campers must be at least 2 years old by June 1 and toilet-trained.

For children entering 1st- 4th grades: Chalutzim

We challenge Chalutzim campers with a wide range of athletic, creative, and community activities in a supportive environment, grounded in Jewish values. Counselors help campers strengthen social skills, cultivate self-esteem, and practice good sportsmanship. Groups in Chalutzim have 10-12 campers of the same gender – each supervised by an experienced college level staff, as well as an upper-classman in high school and a counselor-in-training. Campers enjoy trips to theme parks, museums, science centers and theaters. From archeology expeditions and Mad Science class to boating excursions and overnights, all activities are designed to ensure our campers will have a summer they’ll never forget.

For children entering 5th-6th grades: Tzofim

The Tzofim program is designed to meet the changing social, emotional and recreational needs of the older camper. Campers select from a wide array of adventures and activities – including tennis, drama, softball, jewelry making and boating. Groups have 10-12 campers each of the same gender. In addition to participating in sports, arts and crafts and a talent show, children will also have the opportunity to go on overnights.

For teenagers entering 7th-9th grades: Haverim

Haverim provides a combination of outdoor adventure activities, Jewish cultural programming and old-fashioned camp fun. Participants travel to theme parks, museums and outdoor adventure activity centers in the New York metro area. Special overnights that are part of this unique teen camp provide unforgettable experiences and will give our oldest campers a chance to explore. We encourage teens to make new friends, find their niche, enhance their self-image and strengthen their connection with our Jewish heritage. Haverim campers have traveled to Club Getaway, Washington D. C., Boston, Virginia, Florida, Philadelphia and Lake George for their overnight experiences.

Inclusion Camp

The JCH provides a safe and stimulating environment in a small group setting for children with special needs. Through a combination of traditional camp activities, each child will have a positive and empowering summer experience. The program focuses on helping campers make friends and build social skills. We also help the children develop physical skills in sports and swimming.

Camp Payment Policies, Discounts and Scholarships:

Deposits and Refunds:
A non-refundable deposit of $250 per child is required to secure registration. We accept all major credit cards. Full payment of all camp fees is required by June 1st, 2016. Failure to pay in full by that date will result in automatic cancellation of your child’s enrollment in camp with a loss of all fees paid to date. Anyone registering after June 1st, 2016 is required to pay in full at time of registration.
There will be no refunds or reductions of fees for days missed due to illness, absence, vacations, or change in family circumstances during the camp sessions. Refunds, less the non-refundable deposit, will be issued for cancellations in writing received before May 1st, 2016. No refunds will be made after May 1st, 20165 for any JCH camp programs, due in part to pre-contracted services such as buses, staff, campground fees and other accommodations. JCH Camp reserves the right to suspend or expel any child from the day camp program. In such instances, no refunds will be issued.
Sibling Discount:
Full Season- a $100 per camper discount will apply for each additional camper in the same family.
Half season- a $40 per camper will apply for each additional camper in the same family.
*Scholarship recipients are not eligible for this discount.
