The Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP) is the nation’s largest youth employment program, connecting NYC youth between the ages of 16 and 24 with career exploration opportunities and paid work experiences each summer.
This program is sponsored by DYCD (Department of Youth and Community Development)
About The Program:
- Become an SYEP Worksite for this upcoming summer
- Provide youth ages 16-24 with six weeks of valuable work experience and career readiness skills
- SYEP Participants can work up to 25 hours per week, at the rate of $17.00 per hour throughout the duration of the program
- SYEP Participants are paid directly through the city, at no cost to your agency
- In-person, hybrid, and remote worksites can apply
- Please encourage your staff ages 16-24 to apply
