In March, to honor Women’s Month we’re thrilled to be hosting several free, virtual professional development workshops through the Women’s Center. Here’s a breakdown of what we’ve got:

3/15, 11AM EST Trauma-Informed Care for Women During the COVID-19 Pandemic with the Marks JCH Women’s Center 

Join Laura Vladimirova, LMSW, Director of the Women’s Center to discuss trauma-informed approaches to working with vulnerable clients during the COVID-19 Pandemic.

3/22, 11AM EST If Pregnancy Doesn’t Go as Planned: Support Clients Through Different Types of Perinatal Loss with the Pregnancy Loss Support Program

Join Nancy Berlow, LCSW and Naomi Skop Richter, LCSW from the Pregnancy Loss Support Program for an overview of perinatal losses, typical reactions to loss and stages of grief. Explore what to say when faced with these difficult situations and gain resources for your clients as they begin to cope and heal.

3/30, 2:30PM EST Safety Planning & Domestic Violence Resources for Birth Professional with the Domestic Violence Project

Join Catalina Portillo, JD  an experienced attorney with the Domestic Violence Project who  represents survivors of domestic violence and trafficking to learn about what constitutes abuse, how to safety plan when domestic violence is suspected or identified, what options do survivors in our city have and how to build a collaborative team if you are working with someone you suspect might be experiencing domestic violence.
