A summer working at the Marks JCH Summer Day Camp is an experience you're not going to forget. Filled with fun trips, and laughter you will be excited to come to work every day. At our camp we employ High-School and College students. Anyone who has a passion and a will to work with children of all ages. The camp runs for 8 weeks during the months of July and August.

To gain employment at our camp you must first fill out an APPLICATION. After your application is submitted you will get called in for an interview. The interview will either be conducted in a group setting or on an individual level. After the interview process is complete, you will receive a phone call from us and will find out whether or not you are offered the position.

We are looking for team-players, leaders, and responsible young adults. You must be punctual, diligent, creative, resourceful and show a geniune love for children. Your employement will depend on a completion of the mandatory staff training, including a weekend away for a intensive staff workshop.


Job Descriptions -

Head Counselors: 18 years old + (entering 12th grade and higher)
Head Counselors must supervise and guide junior staff assigned to the group. They are held responsible for behavior and actions of the campers and staff within their group. They are to make sure campers are safe, supervised and entertained at all times. The head counselor is responsible for keeping accurate attendance of campers daily.

Assistant Counselors/Junior Assistant Counselors: 15-17 year olds (entering 11th - 12th grade)
Counselors are responsible for the behavior and actions of the campers in their group. They are to make sure campers are safe, supervised, and entertained at all times.

Madrich (CIT: counselor-in-training): 14-15 years old (entering 10th grade)
Madrichim are to assist Counselors in keeping campers safe, supervised, and entertained at all times. Click Here for Madrich CIT Application!

All staff must be attentive and follow all procedures and routines as per instructed. This includes set up and clean up of all activities and equipment.
  • Attendance and punctuality throughout the camp season are mandatory.
  • Marks JCH Summer Day Camp holds the right to let go of any employee at anytime if the camp deems necessary.
